Flood Flow Calculation

The process is used to calculate the flood flow according to the desired unit hydrograph method in various precipitation frequencies (Q10, Q50, Q100 and so on.). When processed, the catchment area of the flow arm should be selected.

Define the MF and PLV (PLV values may be automatically defined using the previously specified stations on the display screen) coefficients and select the hydrograph method in the new page which will appear.

 For automatic calculation of the distribution of rainfall in the superposed solution over time, the distribution of the time of the basin to chart (A, B or C) is sufficient for identification.

After the process is complete, the results are reported automatically.

The Unit Hydrograph Methods

Peak flow account (QP), may be calculated with 4 different methods of showing the changes over time of the flow. The choice of the method used, the theoretical knowledge and to the formula used in all methods are available from the Unit Hydrograph Method page.

Different formulas are used depending on whether the superposition of the selected hydrograph and flood flow are calculated. In incremental flows with superpose solutions; the flow rate calculated in non-solution superposed is calculated by taking successive differences. Nethydro can perform solutions using superpose for institutions with their standards. 

Unit hydrograph peaks in flow which is not superposed in solution flow by 1 mm, in this case the product of the unit hydrograph peak flow H serves as a natural flood flow.
