References

References are used for external data in Netcad terminology CAD Layers. The layers of Netcad GIS are referred to here as "Spatial".

Reference layers allow the use of very different feature data together. Operations are accessed through the right-click menu.

Reference Properties

File Names

File Names Long Impressions: References can only be displayed with file names or with the directory and file name where the file is located.

Similar Layers Collectively Turn On / Off: Used for collectively opening and closing similar layers.

Visible Areas

Visibility fields and references are masked. So only a part can be made visible or invisible. This feature works very well in situations where page layout edges, such as raster references, should be invisible. Visibility fields are created with the Field Selection Tool (?).

+ : Preferred to add the visible field to the reference according to the class shown.

: Preferred to insert the reference invisible field according to the class shown.

! : Preferred to cancel the defined visible or invisible areas.

Transformation

Dynamically scrolls, rotate, scales, transforms the matrix on the reference file without changing the original data.

  • Slide: Allows a coordinate to be moved different spot from the selected point of the reference.
  • Rotate: Used when the selected constant point of the reference is rotated.
  • Scale: The reference is scaled according to the magnification rate given to the selected point on the reference.
    Matrix:  Used to convert the data contained in any coordinate system to a different coordinate system. For this, the conversion process is performed by entering the desired matrix values from the following menu. Matrix operation; is frequently used in transforming zoning coordinates into cadastral coordinates.

    For example; The conversion of the local layout system to the country coordinate system by the transformation matrix coefficients can be shown. Based on the file-based transformation, the known matrix coefficients (a, b, cy, cx) for the region are transformed into the country coordinate system.
