Catalogue

Catalogue is a Netcad GIS tool where you may index and manage vector and raster data (through scanning in your computer) both generated in Netcad GIS and other softwares, and you also may carry out some other special processes through using this tool.

Through Catalogue option, you may carry out many processes such as projection identification, clearing repeating files, filtering, archiving, grouping, instant transfer into a new folder or Netcad; through a single process on the selected files. 

Through Add File; you may add specified files to catalogue.

Through Scan Files; you may find and sent files in desired format to catalogue file by scanning in specified location.

You may add files found through file scan option by collectively selecting those Ctrl or Shift commands.

OptionExplanation
File NameThis option enables scanning process to be carried out in accordance with the specified file name.
File Types to be SearchedThis option enables files in different formats to be selected.
Add Files Found to CatalogueThrough this option, you may transiently transfer all files that have been found during scanning process into the catalogue file.
Predefined LabelIf text written in this tab is available in file route or name, specified text shall automatically be transferred into label column of the file where such text is available.
Search in My ComputerThis option enables all files in the computer to be scanned.
Search in Sub-IndexesThis option enables selection of file index to be searched.
NetworksThis option enables you scan files through connected networks.
Search for IndexThis option enables file index to be selected. Through '+' button, you may select more than one file indexes.
Add to CatalogueThis option enables selected files to be added to catalogue. You may add files collectively through selecting.
  

This option enables files to be filtered in accordance with change status and date of these files. You may filter files apart from these operations. In order to do this, you may use 'Filter Editor' option of catalogue.

List Same DataThis option lists the data in case of there are more than one of same data in different indexes. This option is performed according to file name and size. You may select and delete listed data from catalogue or file index they are attached to.
Not Changed for the Last 1 YearThis option enables files that have not been processes in the last 1 year to be listed. This section enables you to list files that have not been modified in the last 1,3, and 6 months and in the last 1 week.
Changed in Last 1 WeekThis option enables files that have been changed in the last 1 year to be listed. This section enables you to list files that have been modified in the last 1,3, and 6 months and in the last 1 week.

Processes to be performed on files that have been listed as a result of scanning of locations specified in computer or network are specified in this section.

Archive

This option enables selected files to be saved in specified locations.
Save Files in FolderThis option enables selected files to be copied into the specified location.
Add Catalogue to ReferencesThis option enables selected file to be added as reference to catalogue section.
List Invalid FilesThis option enables files in catalogue section that have been deleted or whose location have been modified to be listed.
Files Require Update

Enables changed files to be listed

Right mouse button functions and search functions of catalogue are located in this section.

Assign ProjectionThis enables projection to be defined to selected files. For projection parameters (?)
LabelThis enables selected files to be labelled. Thus, you may easily apply filters on files that label definition has been assigned through catalogue.
Open File LocationThis enables selected file location to be opened.
Load to NetcadThis option enables files to be added to Netcad project screen.
Add as ReferenceThis option enables files located in catalogue screen to be ranked as spatial reference.

You may use Catalogue search option in Netcad search options in order to facilitate file management in catalogue. For other Netcad search operations (?)

You may select search location as Main Catalogue, Project References and Search in Selected Catalogue through search options.

Search in Main Catalogue: This option enables search to be performed from worked catalogue section.

Search in Project References: This option enables search to be performed from reference catalogue section.

Search in Selected Catalogue: This option enables search to be performed from specified catalogue file.
